Tyler James Williams (born October 9, 1992) is an American teen actor, voice actor, singer, and rapper. He is best known for his role as Chris, a mistreated, miserable, and unpopular character on the sitcom Everybody Hates Chris.
Life and career[]
Williams was born in Westchester County, New York, and grew up in Yonkers, New York.[1] His mother, Angela Williams, is a singer/songwriter, and his father is a police sergeant.[1] Williams has two younger brothers; Tyrel Jackson Williams (b.1997) and Tylen Jacob Williams (b.2001). Williams previously starred in Little Bill as the voice of Bobby, briefly replacing Devon Malik Beckford in 2000, and played himself (or an eponymous character, "Tyler") on the children's show Sesame Street from 2002–2005. He has also guest-starred in Two for the Money, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and the show Hi-Jinks along with his Everybody Hates Chrisco-star Tichina Arnold. In late 2009, Williams appeared in the second season of True Jackson, VP as Justin in the episode "Flirting with Fame". He played a rapper named Lil' Shakespeare. Williams also played Cyrus in the 2011 Disney T.V. movie, Let it Shine. From 2014 to 2015, Williams in the fifth season of the AMC series The Walking Dead as Noah (which had previously featured his co-star Vincent Martella in the previous season).

- In 2007, Williams won the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series. Receiving the prize at age 14, he is the youngest person ever to receive this award.
