Everybody Hates the Laundromat is the eighth episode of the first season of Everybody Hates Chris.
Plot[]
While Julius and Rochelle shop for a television set, a drowsy Chris is forced to do the laundry at the local laundromat with his warring siblings, Tonya and Drew on a Saturday morning. Due to feeling sleepy, he decides to fall asleep at the laundromat while waiting for the laundry to be done hoping for Tonya to wake him up when the laundry is done. However, he wakes up to Drew practicing the Flying Monkey Death Claw on him with Kill Moves. He then finds out that the laundry is gone along with Tonya coming back to getting a soda with the quarters he needed for the dryers. Chris finally realizes that someone stole the clothes, and Tonya said that it wasn’t her fault. Infuriated, he snaps at Tonya saying that she always messes stuff up and that he hates her. Tonya says she doesn’t care and runs out of the laundromat, leaving Chris looking angry. At the end of the episode Tonya and Chris have a talk about what happened earlier at the laundromat with Tonya running away from him. She recognizes what she has done wrong and apologies to him, making them reconcile. Chris decides to end the day watching his favorite movie, Rocky. Meanwhile upstairs Rochelle is unpacking tan clothes from the laundromat, Chris without knowing shrunk Julius’ work suit. She then shouts “Chris!”; knowing Chris messed up, he looks up above him to the ceiling when he is about to eat popcorn. The Everybody Hates Chris hook is then played, ending the episode.
