Plot[]
The cold open starts with Chris being awoken by his crush, "Keisha Ridenhour", the girl next door, but when he does awaken, he screams when he realizes it's his mother waking him up for school, alarming everyone else. He then goes out his door to see everyone as Keisha. In his distraction of seeing her everywhere, he almost gets hit by a car, only to jump and land on top of someone else's parked car, declaring he needs to get her off his mind.
After the opening, Chris comes home to Rochelle having her new friend, Sheila whose daughter, Keisha was also present. Having Chris fawn and nearly drool over her. Rochelle refused to let Drew play outside because he got a C on his last math quiz and needs to up his grade. Since Chris goes to a "better" school, Rochelle orders Chris to help Drew study. Meanwhile, while Sheila was using their bathroom, Julius walks in and smacks her butt, assuming it was Rochelle. Surprised, he immediately apologized and tried to make her forget this happened.
Next time Drew took his math quiz, his grade actually got worse, getting a D. Rochelle and Julius scold Chris for it and Rochelle decided to hire Keisha to tutor Drew. This excites Chris, the next day, he comes to school wearing a nice blue tracksuit to look good for when Keisha comes over. At school, Greg stays close to Chris as their principal, Dr. Raymond orders Caruso and his gang to stay away from Chris, making Caruso target Greg. Greg notices and wants to know Chris's plan to impress Keisha, and this is where he utters his line "You're so in there!"
Back at home, Rochelle is going out for some errands and gives Chris money to pay Keisha, who is upstairs with Drew, tutoring him. Chris freshens up and enters the room, he and Tonya look in shock and surprise of Drew and Keisha kissing, breaking Chris's heart. Keisha then excuses herself downstairs. Chris gets really upset thinking of wanting to "smack the black off of Drew," telling off Tonya to shut up and not caring of her plan to tattle. Drew's only defense was that she kissed him.
The next day, Caruso and his friends are closing in on Greg. However, as soon as Chris arrives, Greg runs to him and asks how it went with Keisha. Chris was still not in the mood and tells him nothing, then explains him walking in on her kissing Drew. Greg tries to console him, but makes him feel worse when he explains he would not know what to do if he was in his position and going as far as to say he would "end it all" if he experienced what Chris did. This angered Chris further when Greg said hearing about Chris's story here is the furthest he got with a girl himself. Chris walks away wanting to be left alone, but after seeing Caruso and his goons moving towards Greg, he runs back to protect him, with Dr. Raymond coming out to see Caruso getting too close to Chris. This made Caruso walk away and Greg grateful that Chris refuses to let Greg get beat down. Meanwhile at home, Julius still expresses discomfort after smacking Sheila's bottom and tries to distance himself and even refusing to let her in to search for Keisha's coat she left behind, showing how because Julius is one of the only fathers in the neighborhood and how he gave similar treatment to other women who may have visited before.
When Chris gets home, Julius was sitting out in the porch and watching Sheila. Chris asks Julius advice on a girl, throughout the conversation, Julius thought Chris knew about his incident with Sheila. Eventually Julius got confused and questioned, realizing Chris was talking about Keisha and realizing Chris has a crush on her. Julius just advises him to relax as there will be other girls he will meet, and Keisha is only the first one. When Julius comes to the bedroom with Rochelle talking about Sheila. Julius replies to the conversation that Sheila is pretty which makes Rochelle question if Julius is attracted to Sheila. After some fumbling in his words, he confessed how he smacked Sheila's butt thinking it was Rochelle's, explaining in their household, if he saw a grown woman's bottom, he would assume it is Rochelle. Rochelle let him off easy but then jokingly says she will beat Julius if something like that happened again.
Later at night in bed, Drew apologized for kissing Keisha (though calling her name wrong, not remembering it), not realizing how much Chris liked her. Drew then expresses how he felt about being heartbroken before too and assures Chris will be ok. However, Narrator Chris expresses annoyance of getting romantic advice from his younger brother. The episode ends with the next day of declaring to ignore and never give Keisha any attention, however, he quickly says hi back and fawns over her after she passed and said hi to him, causing him to get distracted by a coming car and jumping onto a hood of parked car again. The “Everybody Hates Chris” end chorus plays as Chris looks defeated on top of the car, just like the beginning of the episode.
