Everybody Hates Father's Day is the season finale of the first season of the television series Everybody Hates Chris.
Synopsis[]
Chris asks Julius what gift he would like for Father's Day, but Julius says all he wants is a day off from the family. Rochelle is appalled that Julius doesn't want to spend Father's Day with the family, but Julius says he never gets a day to himself and all the money the family spends on presents for him is wasted. Chris decides to buy Julius a calculator watch so he can figure out how much everything costs, but he then finds out that Julius got one from somebody else. On Father's Day, the family brings Julius breakfast in bed, and then he rushes them out the door. Julius spends the day doing things such as sleeping and watching television, but eventually he gets lonely. While Rochelle takes Drew and Tonya to a museum and a movie, Chris searches for another gift, and after a long search, he comes up with the ideal gift for his father. At the end of the episode, Chris did his own thing for Julius and payed the electric bill, granting his father’s wish of his son knocking out a bill for him. Julius is extremely grateful for this and says that it’s the best gift he’s ever got and that he’ll remember this forever. Julius compliments Chris that he’s proud of him and that he’s become more like a man every day and even recommends getting a job and paying a bill every month. The “Everybody Hates Chris” hook the plays over Chris forcing a smile but disagreeing look at his father, closing Season 1.
